The Department of Operative Disciplines includes the Surgical Clinic (hand surgery, orthopaedics, otorhinolaryngology, traumatology, urology, visceral surgery) and the Women's Clinic (gynaecology, obstetrics). Together, we perform nearly 7000 procedures annually in the department. In the field of urology, approximately 850 inpatient admissions occur annually. The urology department is operated by four urological specialists in collaboration with attending physicians. Spital Uster remains commissioned at the cantonal level for prostatectomies and nephrectomies. www.spitaluster.ch

Chief Physician or Head of Department Urology (80-100%)
Exciting challenges await you
- Medical, economic and personnel overall responsibility for the urology department
- Strengthening and further development of urological focal points, such as uro-oncology (prostatectomy, nephrectomy), complex endo-urology, robotics, transurethral therapies, continence and sexology
- Ensuring high treatment quality as well as attractive training and further education together with 3 senior physicians and attending physicians
- Ensuring a service-oriented and interprofessional operation while considering efficient resource utilisation
- Maintaining existing contacts and building and further developing regional partnerships with referrers, resident colleagues and partner clinics in the region
- Supporting the department management in the further development of the operative disciplines
What distinguishes you for the job
- Specialist title in urology as well as the Swiss subspecialty title in uro-oncology
- Several years of clinical experience with broad professional and operative expertise
- Convincing and integrative leadership personality with confident demeanour towards employees, referrers and external partners
- Solution-oriented thinking as well as high flexibility, team orientation and commitment
- Strong understanding of interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration on an equal footing as well as basic business management knowledge
