About the job
With more than 13,000 employees representing 160 professions, the Geneva University Hospitals are a reference institution at both national and international levels. To learn more about our institution, take a few minutes to consult our 2025 retrospective by clicking here.
The Digital Transformation and Augmented Intelligence Directorate (DTN-IA) creates, integrates and manages all IT applications of one of the most efficient hospital information systems to support the clinical and logistical activities of the Geneva University Hospitals. With a fleet of more than 12,500 workstations, 1,300 servers for over 250 applications serving all staff, available 24/7, the DTN-IA manages an HR information system for the 13,000 employees of the HUG and the 7 other Geneva institutions, as well as a high-performance ERP for the most complex logistical and financial processes.
The DTN-IA creates a state-of-the-art electronic patient record and contributes to the prominence of the HUG thanks to its recognised functional richness and close collaborations with all healthcare professionals and their transversal management. Furthermore, the DTN-IA integrates cutting-edge and everyday biomedical equipment as well as specialised applications for all medical-technical platforms.
The role of the DTN-IA is to support daily activities and build the future of a modern and efficient hospital, according to the institution's strategic axes, relying on best practices and the most demanding standards.
Join and strengthen a team composed of 2 fullstack developers and a lead developer, whose mission is to continue the development and evolution of the Greco application, the scheduling and teleconsultation management software used by staff. The software is also used by patients through the Concerto application. The team works in an agile manner, strongly inspired by the Scrum methodology while adapting to the constraints related to the hospital environment, which sometimes requires quickly switching tasks to adapt to priorities.
You participate in writing technical specifications, translating functional needs into detailed specifications. Based on the technical specifications, you develop the software, both front-end and back-end, using cutting-edge technologies and a microservices architecture. You evolve the solution and ensure its maintenance, while providing rigorous follow-up. Concretely, you autonomously develop the features and fixes assigned to you.
Thanks to your team spirit, you collaborate closely with the team to develop reliable and scalable solutions and features. You share best practices and adopt a critical and constructive approach with a view to continuous improvement, demonstrating a strong solution-oriented mindset.
Throughout the product lifecycle, thanks to your communication skills, you contribute to the optimal and structured development of the software, ensuring an essential link with the Greco coordinators of the various medical departments. You adapt your language according to your interlocutors to simplify technical terms, challenge proposed solutions, and actively collaborate with stakeholders to find the most relevant adaptations.
Moreover, you ensure the updating and writing of the necessary documentation. You make use of your synthesis ability and pragmatism to carry out your mission within the allotted time and guarantee a quality result.
You actively participate in all phases of an IT project, from initiation to completion, ensuring the production of expected deliverables at each phase. Additionally, you also provide level 3 user support, in relation with other DTN-IA services, while maintaining a strong customer orientation.
Qualifications
