YOUR TASKS
- Care of patients during all operations with regional or general anaesthesia
- Conducting and monitoring patients in the operating theatre
- Management of emergency situations
- Independent and proper preparation, operation and maintenance of medical equipment
- Co-responsibility for a smooth process in the operating schedule
- Collaboration with anaesthetists
YOUR PROFILE
- Qualification as a certified nurse, Bachelor of Science in Nursing FH or recognised foreign diploma
- At least 24 months of professional experience in a Swiss acute hospital
- Willingness to take responsibility and resilience both mentally and physically
OUR OFFERIn our modern equipped operating centre, around 8,500 procedures are performed annually in the fields of orthopaedics, general and spinal surgery, gynaecology/obstetrics, visceral surgery and urology. Practical training takes place in all specialist areas as well as in the endoscopy centre. As part of external internships, you will gain insight into paediatric anaesthesia, heart/thoracic surgery and major visceral surgery. The modular theoretical instruction is completed at the Bern Education Centre for Nursing. During the two-year training, you will be competently supervised and supported by our trainers and the nursing and medical team until graduation.
