Quality Controller in Watchmaking

About the job

To strengthen its Quality Control team, MB&F, an independent watchmaking company and true creative laboratory, is recruiting a Quality Controller for the entry of Watch Components (Movement & Cases) at 100% on a permanent contract. The position is available immediately, based in Carouge and reports directly to the Quality Control Manager.

Mission

Ensure the conformity of watch components upon receipt by performing rigorous quality checks, and contribute, in close collaboration with internal teams and suppliers, to the level of requirement specific to MB&F.

Main Responsibilities

Manage incoming component inspections

• Manage incoming component inspections
• Check components: reference / quantity / aesthetics
• Dimensionally check with quality tools with contact and contactless types such as Micro-Vu
• Prepare incoming inspection sheets, label and package components
• Inform and communicate with suppliers in case of non-conformity (understanding, deadlines).

Manage ERP flows

• Manage according to project priorities and urgencies
• Direct components to the Supply Chain department
• Follow-up operations
• Stocking
• Scrap parts

• Master the inspection of movement and case components
• Use manual (contact) and automatic (contactless) inspection tools
• Manage supplier relationships
• Master IT and office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Technical training in watchmaking or micromechanics
• Minimum 5-10 years experience in quality control/quality technician
• Minimum 5 years experience in the watchmaking field in a similar position
