We are looking for a proactive individual as a
Teacher with Socio-Educational Duties 90 - 100%
Exciting tasks await:
- Teaching in small groups (approx. 3 young people each), especially in German and Mathematics as well as general education topics
- Conducting learning assessments and developing individual support plans as well as writing progress and performance reports
- Accompanying the young people during sporting activities
- Supporting the residential group during school-free periods (breakfast or lunch)
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with the residential group, training companies, and therapy
What you bring:
- Teaching qualification at primary or lower secondary level, possibly a degree in special education and/or social pedagogy
- Experience in individualised teaching in heterogeneous small classes
- Interest in working with behaviourally challenged male adolescents
- Strong willingness for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Empathetic, confident and flexible personality as well as high resilience and ability to work in a team
- Impeccable character (criminal record and debt enforcement extracts without entries)
Your working environment
The Youth Home Aarburg is an institution for the enforcement of civil and juvenile criminal law measures. It admits male adolescents and young adults who are at risk in their development. With educational and therapeutic measures, the staff support the clients in integrating into social order. In addition, specific educational and vocational offers provide a foundation for the young people and young adults to prepare for a self-responsible, offence-free life.
For the closed residential group, we are looking for a specialist who ensures special education for a maximum of 8 young people. The workload of 90 - 100% can be completed over four days (Monday to Thursday) if desired.
