In this role, as an Incident Responder (Tier-3 Analyst in the CSIRT), you take responsibility for investigating security incidents and act as the central contact person for clients – both in communication and coordination. Your focus is on thorough risk assessments and supporting the rebuilding of compromised IT infrastructures. Additionally, you support the Cyber Defence Center (CDC) in escalated security incidents and actively contribute to the development of Cyber Security Analysts in the CDC through training and coaching. Furthermore, you help shape the advancement of detection and response services in the Microsoft environment. You drive modern threat-hunting methods and the continuous improvement of attack detection.
Responsibilities:
You handle complex security incidents at Tier-3 level, take on the risk assessment, and ensure professional client coordination
In critical situations, you participate in escalations at the Cyber Defence Center (CDC) and accompany the restoration of compromised systems
You pass on your knowledge in training sessions and support the continuous development of Cyber Security Analysts
At the same time, you actively contribute to the further development of detection & response, threat hunting, and attack detection in the Microsoft environment
Qualifications:
You have completed an IT education and bring at least 3-5 years of experience in incident response for external clients
Ideally, you hold a degree in computer science (FH/University) or a comparable qualification, as well as sound knowledge of Microsoft security platforms
Thanks to your many years of ICT and security know-how, you can confidently assess even demanding security incidents
You have excellent spoken and written German at a business fluent level and good English skills, both spoken and written
