Role:

As an Application Platform Engineer, you are the technical hub between the business department, production, and IT. You ensure that business-critical applications run reliably and that data flows cleanly from system to system. You systematically investigate disruptions rather than just fixing symptoms. You actively shape releases, integrations, and optimisations. This role combines operational responsibility with tangible scope for creativity.

Responsibilities:

• You are responsible for the operation, configuration, and lifecycle management of production-critical business applications, including software for personalisation.

• You continuously monitor interfaces to production systems and surrounding systems and ensure the correct transmission of JSON, CSV, and XML data.

• You analyse complex incidents across applications and data flows and coordinate the solution with internal specialists and software manufacturers.

• Furthermore, you manage updates and go-lives and plan the associated integration and acceptance tests.

• You also maintain user accounts and access rights and translate business requirements into technical system adjustments.

• Additionally, you drive automation forward, participate in digitalisation projects, and document systems and operational processes comprehensibly.

Qualifications:

• You have at least three years of experience in application engineering or the technical operation of business applications.

• The basis for this is a degree in computer science or business informatics or a comparable technical background.

• You bring solid know-how in integrating heterogeneous systems, ideally complemented by experience with web services and REST interfaces.

• For your analyses, you confidently use SQL, log files, and monitoring and narrow down errors at the application, interface, and data levels.

• You are also familiar with ITIL-related processes such as problem and change management as well as role and permission concepts from practical experience.

• Moreover, you convince through analytical thinking, a structured working method, and strong communication skills in exchange with business departments and suppliers. Experience with personalisation software is welcome.
