As a Process Engineer in the Manufacturing Development Center, you will be the technical contact for prototyping activities within the department. You will act as a subject matter expert by designing experimental plans, leading the prototype production lifecycle, and developing or adapting equipment to support new or complex manufacturing needs. You will collaborate closely with R&D, Quality, EHS, Manufacturing, and Technicians to ensure robust, safe, and right-first-time prototyping execution. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of existing prototyping lines through data-driven analysis and equipment optimization.
Process Engineer - Manufacturing
As a Process Engineer in the Manufacturing Development Center, you will be the technical contact for prototyping activities within the department. You will act as a subject matter expert by designing experimental plans, leading the prototype production lifecycle, and developing or adapting equipment to support new or complex manufacturing needs. You will collaborate closely with R&D, Quality, EHS, Manufacturing, and Technicians to ensure robust, safe, and right-first-time prototyping execution. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of existing prototyping lines through data-driven analysis and equipment optimization.
YOUR "˜DAY TO DAY'
• Act as SME to design experimental plans and identify optimal processing approaches for specific substrates and formulations, working hand-in-hand with technicians and R&D.
• Lead the full prototype production lifecycle-from early feasibility discussions to on-floor execution-ensuring proper documentation including batch records, trial protocols, and risk assessments, as well as reporting to project leaders.
• Develop custom setups, adapt existing equipment, or coordinate the sourcing of additional machinery to support new activities or enable complex prototypes.
• Analyze equipment and process performance by leveraging data analysis, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and relevant KPIs to drive continuous improvement of prototyping lines.
• Collaborate with EHS to ensure full compliance with equipment and processes, supporting risk evaluations and maintaining the highest operational safety standards.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must have:
• Master of Science in Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work hands-on and cross-functionally in fast-moving prototyping environments.
• Fluent in French and English.
Nice to have:
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or development environment with exposure to prototyping, process optimization, or pilot-scale activities.
