Our client is an internationally active Swiss company with a strong market presence and demanding financial processes. To strengthen the finance team, we are looking for an experienced individual who will take responsibility for the general ledger accounting of several companies and actively contribute to the further development of modern accounting processes.
Responsibilities:
Independent management of the general ledger accounting for several companies
Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to Swiss Code of Obligations (OR)
Execution and documentation of balance sheet account reconciliations as well as handling provisions, accruals, and fixed assets
Responsibility for intercompany reconciliations and foreign currency valuations
Ensuring compliance with internal guidelines, internal control system (ICS) requirements, and legal regulations
Analysis and resolution of closing differences in collaboration with internal departments
Participation in the standardisation, digitalisation, and automation of record-to-report processes
Further development of financial processes within the ERP system and participation in group-wide finance and transformation projects
Contact person for internal and external audits as well as close cooperation with controlling, treasury, and tax
Qualifications:
Completed commercial or business administration training with further education as a Certified Specialist in Finance and Accounting with Federal Diploma or a comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in general ledger accounting, ideally within an international corporate group
Sound knowledge in preparing financial statements according to Swiss OR, accounting, intercompany reconciliations, and VAT
Very good knowledge of modern ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is an advantage
Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
