For geriatrics, we are looking for a committed and motivated individual as a Senior Physician from 1 October 2026 or by arrangement. This senior physician role can be credited as further training towards the specialisation in geriatrics (recognition category A).
We cover a broad spectrum of geriatrics (acute geriatrics, Memory Clinic, geriatric traumatology, long term care).
We offer the opportunity to utilise a diverse range of training courses within KSW due to close collaboration with the Centre for General Internal Medicine.
Who we are
Your tasks
- Treatment and care of patients on the acute geriatric ward and in the geriatric trauma centre of the Cantonal Hospital Winterthur
- Treatment and care of people in the Oberi and Adlergarten elderly centres of the city of Winterthur within our home doctor team
- Teaching and supervision of assistant doctors
- Participation in the in-house consultation service
- Development of treatment concepts for multimorbid patients taking into account ethical and palliative care principles, involving the social environment and various therapeutic services
- Participation in the on-call service of the Adlergarten and Oberi elderly centres
Your profile
- Preferably you have completed further training as a specialist in General Internal Medicine or are close to completion and are interested in obtaining the specialisation title in geriatrics
- You are interested in geriatrics and the issues of older people and want to expand your expertise in this field
- You are a committed, resilient and highly team-oriented individual with strong social skills and very good German language skills, both spoken and written
- You are flexible, appreciate a collegial atmosphere and would like to work in an innovative, leading healthcare company where you can fully apply your skills and knowledge
