Senior Physician Pneumology (a)

This is what the professional everyday life looks like

The pneumology department has a modern endoscopy unit with corresponding interventional options. In addition to the entire pulmonary function diagnostics including spiroergometry, the full spectrum of sleep diagnostics and therapy including polysomnography is offered. Furthermore, there is the opportunity to actively advance your own academic career by participating in research projects. What to expect:

• Varied clinical work in an open and experienced team in a friendly working atmosphere
• Regular work in endoscopy
• Broad clinical care of pneumological patients in outpatient and inpatient settings at the University Centre for Internal Medicine KSBL, locations Liestal and Bruderholz
• Specialisation in sleep medicine through interdisciplinary work in a certified sleep laboratory
• Participation in night on-call and weekend duties on the wards, as well as limited times in on-call duty in the emergency and intensive care unit (with anaesthetist on duty on site and intensive care background duty on call)
• Involvement in training and tutoring of young doctors (Pneumology training centre B)
• Active participation in internal and external further education and training events of the clinic
• Participation in teaching medical students

Competences and potential

• Specialist title in pneumology (or foreseeable acquisition)
• Sound knowledge in pneumology and internal medicine, sleep medicine certification advantageous
• Empathetic, committed personality with a high service and patient orientation
• Understanding of interprofessional and interdisciplinary collaboration
