In this key role, you are responsible for the strategic planning and management of materials within the infrastructure. Together with your team, you continuously develop the supply of materials along the entire end-to-end process and create the foundations for sustainable, efficient, and future-oriented material management. What you can get moving.
- You lead a team consisting of four material managers and a Project Manager and strengthen cross-departmental collaboration.
- You are responsible for strategic material planning and develop strategies and procurement plans for long-term availability.
- You continuously optimise material forecasting and create transparency about future requirements.
- You lead development, transformation, and optimisation initiatives across departments and promote continuous improvement in material management.
- You refine standards, methods, and control tools and represent material management in strategic committees.
- You work closely with specialist departments, projects, and external partners and promote sustainable material procurement.
What you bring with you.
- You have many years of managerial experience and solid knowledge in material management, supply chain management, or logistics.
- You are characterised by a strategic mindset and an entrepreneurial approach and work in a structured and solution-oriented manner.
- You have extensive experience in leading change, transformation, or optimisation projects and act confidently in complex contexts.
- You possess solid experience with SAP MM, particularly in planning and managing material requirements, and ideally know SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning) in demand, forecasting, and supply planning processes.
- You have completed higher education at a university of applied sciences or university or hold an equivalent qualification in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or industrial engineering.
- You have excellent knowledge of German, and knowledge of other national languages is an advantage.
