About the job
Flair for numbers, overview and entrepreneurial insight? Then it’s about to get interesting.
For a modern, successful company in the craft-technical sector in the Basel region, we are looking for a commercial personality who not only manages but also thinks along, organises and keeps an overview.
This is not a simple office job where you just tap on the keyboard a bit and wait for instructions. In this role, many threads come together: customers, telephone, orders, invoices, personnel administration, cash register, appointments, enquiries and all the little things that are crucial in everyday life to ensure a business runs smoothly and flawlessly.
Our client is a well-established company with short distances, direct communication and entrepreneurial leadership with heart, warmth and clear principles. Therefore, we are not looking for someone who just does a bit of clerical work, but a reliable all-round commercial professional with brains, pace, discretion and common sense. We are therefore addressing a
Commercial Clerk 60-80% - the good soul in the office where all the threads come together...
Your tasks:
- You take on a central role in the daily office routine. This includes reception and telephone, order processing, accounts payable and receivable, cash register entries as well as general office coordination
- You also contribute to personnel administration, especially with entries, exits, documents and internal changes. You keep an eye on pending tasks, coordinate information, ask questions if something is unclear, and ensure that important matters are not left unattended
- In short: you keep the commercial engine room running and in good shape
Your profile:
- You have completed commercial training and possess good accounting knowledge. Experience in personnel administration is important, experience in the construction, craft or technical sector is a clear advantage.
- You work confidently with SAP, Word, Excel and Outlook. You don’t have to be an IT genius, but you must reliably manage data, documents and processes
- What matters is your interconnected thinking. You don’t just see individual tasks but the connections. You understand that a properly recorded order, a correct invoice, complete personnel documents and a binding feedback are worth more in everyday life than nice theory
Your personality
This position suits a woman, but a man is also welcome, who enjoys working in the thick of things. You are friendly, clear, organised and resilient. You can deal with customers, employees, craftsmen, suppliers and superiors and keep your cool even when several topics are on the table at once and everything must be done immediately. You come across as reliable, precise, discreet and present. And you bring something that cannot simply be learned in courses: an entrepreneurial instinct. You operate the commercial controls so that the engine room of the craft sector really hums.
What to expect:
You can expect a modern working environment in a stable, regionally well-established company. The distances are short, communication is direct, the working atmosphere pleasantly familiar and the salary market-appropriate. This role is ideal for a commercial professional who does not want to disappear into an anonymous structure but wants to work close to the business. Those who like to organise, think along, coordinate and take responsibility will find an exciting and important role here.
If you bring flair for numbers, organisational talent, people skills and a dose of entrepreneurial spirit, we should talk.
