Your future environment

We are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients, a leading hospital institution located in the Lausanne region, active in highly specialised surgical care.

You will work within units of:

• vascular surgery (arterial and venous pathologies, complex pre- and post-operative care),
• cardiac surgery (patients in pre- and post-interventional phases, close clinical monitoring).

Main responsibilities

• Provide specialised nursing care to patients receiving care in vascular and/or cardiac surgery
• Closely monitor the clinical condition of patients in pre- and post-operative phases
• Early identification of signs of complications and act appropriately
• Actively collaborate with the medical and interprofessional team
• Strictly apply protocols, standards and procedures specific to surgical care
• Ensure precise and compliant documentation of care provided
• Ensure strict compliance with hygiene, safety and quality standards
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and good geriatric practice standards

Required skills and qualifications

• Bachelor of Health Sciences in nursing or foreign diploma recognised by the Swiss Red Cross
• Two years’ experience in a hospital setting, ideally with initial experience in surgery, acute care, vascular or cardiac surgery
• Strong interest in technical care and management of complex patients
• Rigour, sense of responsibility and ability to manage high-demand situations
• Ease in working within an interprofessional team
• Knowledge of the Soarian software is an asset
• Autonomy and responsiveness
