The Legal Department is the first point of contact for the hospital management as well as the 43 clinics and institutes of the USZ when it comes to legal matters in everyday hospital life. For this broad, highly exciting field, we are looking for reinforcement. Your main tasks
AI & Legaltech pioneer: You actively drive AI processes and legal tech solutions at USZ. This includes automated contract creation/review, AI-supported research, legal risk assessment of AI tools, as well as establishing guidelines for handling AI models in everyday hospital life.
Legal diversity: You advise hospital management and clinics on all legal questions related to hospital operations: in medical and health law, patient and research law, public personnel and procurement law, as well as contract law.
Generalist or specialist: You choose - deployment across the entire legal spectrum of USZ or targeted deepening in your specific field.
Practical advice: You work closely on projects in interdisciplinary teams. You have direct contact with the people who currently need your pragmatic assessment.
Legal diversity: You advise hospital management and clinics on all legal questions related to hospital operations: in medical and health law, patient and research law, public personnel and procurement law, as well as contract law.
Generalist or specialist: You choose - deployment across the entire legal spectrum of USZ or targeted deepening in your specific field.

Your profile
The foundation: You have a successful law degree (MLaw / Licentiate, additional qualifications are an advantage) and bring solid professional experience as a legal generalist. Familiarity with the healthcare sector is a plus but not a must.
The tech focus: You possess high digital competence and are passionate about the opportunities of AI. You have already implemented initial legal tech projects, accompanied their implementation, or bring corresponding additional training.
Your personality: Initiative, curiosity, enthusiasm for innovation, and a confident sense for corporate legal advice. You work independently, think in networks, and communicate clearly.
The mindset: A positive attitude, approachability towards people, and joy in close collaboration in a dynamic environment.
