Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Project Manager Municipal Civil Engineering for the independent planning and management of municipal and cantonal infrastructure projects. You will accompany projects in road, utility, development and settlement drainage construction from the initial project idea through planning and tendering to realisation. You will take responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality and project coordination and work closely with municipalities, cantonal authorities, utility owners and other project participants. The position combines classic engineering planning with comprehensive project management and offers scope for shaping the development of sustainable municipal infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Independent project management of municipal and cantonal civil engineering projects from design to realisation and commissioning
Planning and design of road, development, utility and settlement drainage projects
Handling projects through the relevant SIA phases from preliminary study and preliminary project to tendering, execution and completion
Responsibility for schedule planning, project budgets, cost control and quality management
Coordination of municipalities, cantonal specialist offices, utility owners, specialist planners and contractors
Preparation of cost estimates, cost quotations and project budgets as well as ongoing monitoring of cost development
Planning and coordination of utilities, sewers, road drainage and pipeline routes
Preparation of tender and submission documents according to NPK/CRB as well as support for bid comparison and awarding
Implementation and coordination of approval and authorisation procedures with municipal and cantonal authorities
Leading project, planning and coordination meetings and ensuring structured project documentation
Advising public clients on technical, economic and scheduling issues and developing suitable project variants
Participation in acquisition, offers and project development for new infrastructure and civil engineering projects
Qualifications:
Degree as Civil Engineer FH/ETH, Technician HF Civil Engineering or comparable construction-technical education
Several years of professional experience in planning and/or project management in municipal civil engineering
Sound knowledge in road, utility, development and/or settlement drainage construction
Experience in cost planning, schedule control, tendering and submission according to NPK/CRB
Good knowledge of relevant SIA and VSS standards as well as Swiss civil engineering regulations
Experience in collaboration with municipalities, cantonal authorities and utility owners
Knowledge of common CAD/civil engineering planning and project management software is an advantage
