Apprenticeship for Information and Documentation Specialist EFZ

What awaits you here:

• The training mainly takes place at the Aargau Cantonal Library, with internship opportunities at the Aargau State Archive and another library.
• You will learn how to select, acquire or take over publications and documents, how to index, equip and store them.
• You will competently use information systems and databases to provide our customers access to the media, data and information they are looking for.
• You will independently assist customers in using our collections and provide them with the necessary information. You will also be introduced to various administrative tasks.
• You will support our public relations and mediation work in the areas of communication, presentation of collections, training and events.

What you bring:

• You are interested in information technologies, media, literature and history.
• You work precisely and systematically and can analyse problems well.
• You have a very good sense of order, high reliability and perseverance.
• You are interested in people, what they are looking for and you enjoy helping them.
• You are communicative and can express yourself well orally and in writing.
