In the Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy (Clinic Director Dr med Angelo Bernardon), children and adolescents up to the age of 18 are treated. The integrated treatment offering of the clinic includes an outpatient area with a central outpatient clinic as well as four outpatient clinics distributed across the canton, a consultation and liaison service, and an inpatient area with an acute ward, two psychotherapy wards, a day clinic and a clinic school. The teams consist of clinical specialists from the fields of medicine, psychology, nursing and social pedagogy, and in the clinic school, teachers and special education teachers. The Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy is a teaching hospital of the University of Zurich and a certified training centre Category A.

Profile

• Basic pedagogical training at secondary level
• Preferably additional qualification in special education
• You enjoy working in a team
• You appreciate collaboration with the disciplines of medicine, psychology, social pedagogy and nursing
• You are interested in issues from child and adolescent psychiatry as well as the entire spectrum of special and remedial education
• You are flexible, committed, resilient and enjoy working in a development-oriented environment

Tasks

• Teaching in team teaching, learning groups of 12 pupils
• Individual educational support for children and adolescents with mental illnesses
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with professionals from medicine, psychology, nursing and social pedagogy
• Participation in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and site discussions
• Assessment of learning status and involvement in special education support planning
• Writing school reports
• Team-oriented collaboration within the school team
• Participation in school development
