Application Security Engineer (m/f/d)
This ROCKEN partner has been developing technically convincing solutions for the security of IT infrastructures and web applications for over 20 years. To remain relevant in a rapidly evolving and changing market, lateral thinkers are sought for practical innovations and solutions.
Role:
Cyber security does not end at firewalls – it begins with intelligent security solutions for modern applications. We are looking for a committed individual who accompanies demanding security projects, employs innovative technologies, and actively shapes secure application platforms.
Responsibilities:
Implementation and optimisation of modern application security solutions in complex IT environments
Development and integration of secure access concepts for web and cloud applications
Configuration and further development of web application firewalls as well as reverse proxy solutions
Participation in zero-trust, API security, and identity projects
Technical consulting and support for complex security challenges
Leadership and coordination of technical infrastructure and security projects
Analysis of security-relevant events and development of sustainable protective measures
Automation of deployments and security processes using modern DevSecOps methods
Collaboration with architecture, infrastructure, and cloud teams to continuously improve the security landscape
Qualifications:
Degree or training in computer science, cyber security, or comparable qualification
Experience in application security, web security, or IT security
Good knowledge of web application firewalls, SSL/TLS, PKI, and modern web technologies
Experience with authentication methods such as SAML, OpenID Connect, or OAuth
Knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, container platforms, and cloud technologies
Initial experience with automation or scripting languages such as JavaScript, Groovy, or Python is an advantage
Analytical thinking and enthusiasm for modern security concepts
Interest in DevSecOps, API security, cloud security, and zero trust
