Senior Workplace Engineer wanted! (m/f/d)
Role:
In this role, you take responsibility for the design, implementation, and further development of modern IT workplace systems, ensuring stable, secure, and high-performance operation. You analyse business requirements, plan suitable solutions for the digital workplace, and implement these technically in close coordination with relevant stakeholders. You are responsible for the lifecycle of the deployed workplace technologies, continuously optimise processes, and ensure standardisation and automation wherever sensible. Additionally, you evaluate new technologies and tools, assess their benefits for the workplace environment, and derive improvements and modernisation steps. Through your senior expertise, you act as the central contact person for complex questions regarding IT workplace systems and support other technical roles with your specialist knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- You are responsible for the entire client platform from design to stable operation
- In this role, you provide a standardised device ecosystem and further develop our MS Intune environment
- You shape the Windows client lifecycle including deployment, updates, operation, as well as automated software distribution and patch management
- You manage M365 devices, implement conditional access and device compliance requirements, and integrate vulnerability management measures
- As a Senior IT Workplace Systems Engineer, you integrate security controls on endpoints, are responsible for client hardening, and ensure security and compliance requirements
- You handle 2nd- and 3rd-level issues in the client environment, lead client-related projects, and document solutions clearly and verifiably
Qualifications:
- You have an IT education or equivalent practical experience.
- You have several years of experience with Intune, Entra ID, Conditional Access, and M365 in complex environments.
- You are proficient in the Windows client lifecycle, including deployment, operation, and hardening of the client platform according to standards such as CIS.
- You bring experience with endpoint security/XDR, ideally with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, to secure clients.
- You use PowerShell purposefully to automate and standardise recurring tasks.
- You work in a structured, independent, and process-oriented manner, ideally in a regulated environment with clearly defined controls and compliance requirements.
