About the job
The Nursing Directorate is responsible for the Central Bed Management of the Insel Group and is looking for a new colleague to strengthen the team.
What to expect
- As a bed coordinator, you coordinate and allocate emergency inpatient and outpatient admissions and primarily support the University Emergency Medicine Clinic and other units in transferring patients to the medical departments
- You maintain an overall operational overview of bed occupancy and support ensuring admission capacity
- You take on additional bed allocation tasks, considering capacities, patient situations, and other relevant conditions
- You record, manage, and monitor bed closures, contributing to transparent control of available bed capacities
- As a central contact person, you work closely with the medical departments, the emergency department, and other interprofessional interfaces
- You take on defined tasks in the area of the personnel pool for sitting watches and nursing assistance
- You actively contribute to the further development of Central Bed Management and future capacity control
What you bring
- You are a qualified nurse HF/FH, optionally with an NDS qualification in ICU, anaesthesia and/or emergency
- You have at least two years of professional experience in an acute hospital
- You can draw on experience in complex patient situations and ideally have knowledge in coordinating or allocating patients
- You keep an overview and can prioritise even in demanding and hectic situations
- You demonstrate high social competence as well as strong communication and teamwork skills
- You work independently, reliably, and solution-oriented and enjoy a dynamic working environment
- You are willing to work shifts from Monday to Sunday (day and late shifts)
