IT Linux Platform Engineer (m/f/d)
Responsibilities:
- You ensure the stable, secure and high-performance operation of the Linux-based system and platform landscape together with internal teams and external partners
- In this role, you operate, monitor and continuously develop the infrastructure and platform services
- As a Linux System Administrator, you actively participate in company-wide infrastructure and network projects and contribute your experience in design, implementation and operation
- You take responsibility in incident, problem and change management and independently analyse disruptions down to system and network level
- In this role, you advise application managers on Linux systems, network infrastructure, platform architecture and security and act as a technical interface to development and operations
- You maintain the system and network technical documentation and ensure its currency and availability
Qualifications:
- You have completed IT training or have several years of professional experience as a Linux System Engineer or Administrator
- Ideally, you have solid knowledge in operating Oracle Linux systems
- You are network-savvy and familiar with LAN and WLAN, switching and routing, Cisco networks as well as authentication and access mechanisms such as 802.1X
- You have experience with container and platform environments such as RedHat OpenShift, Docker and Podman
- You automate recurring tasks with Ansible and scripting, for example with Bash or Python, and are familiar with virtualisation technologies as well as backup and storage solutions such as Veeam
- You are confident in heterogeneous IT environments, work with Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server and clients, AD, Exchange, Teams, VoIP as well as Git and use the Atlassian Cloud Suite user-oriented; you speak German, French or Italian skills are an advantage
