The University Institute for Diagnostic, Interventional and Paediatric Radiology of the Inselspital Bern offers, as a central hospital with a maximum care mandate, the entire spectrum of radiological examination techniques and procedures. The institute is divided into clinical, organ-specific focal points, which are supervised by subspecialised senior physicians. There is close interdisciplinary collaboration with all referring clinics. The training centre is accredited as a Category A clinic for specialist training in radiology.

What to expect

Your area of responsibility includes training in radiological diagnostics for all age groups with simple and complex clinical pictures. You can expect the complete spectrum of university diagnostic and interventional radiology, including 24/7 emergency radiology.

What you bring

You have successfully completed your medical studies and are motivated to undergo structured training in radiology. You are open-minded and a team player, maintain an overview even in stressful situations, and appreciate variety in a lively environment. Motivation to apply and continuously develop your knowledge and skills completes the profile. At least one year of radiological and/or clinical prior experience before starting the position is a prerequisite for a successful application.

We offer you a demanding and varied clinical activity in a diagnostic and interventional centre, with clinical and scientific affiliation to the University of Bern. You will receive excellent training and further education in all radiological techniques and therapies. There is an optional possibility of further subspecialisation in a radiological focus area (fellowship). A further academic career is expressly encouraged. Flexible working models or part-time positions are possible.
