The headquarters in Frauenfeld (Thurgau) sets the pace for the globally sought-after Baumer sensor solutions. Around 700 employees from engineering, product management, manufacturing, logistics, sales and services work closely together here: engineers continuously develop new solutions, while the production and logistics teams ensure that the sensors arrive at customers on time and in Baumer quality.
Quality is a decisive factor for our global market success at Baumer. For the position of Head of Quality, I am therefore looking for a personality who does not see quality as mere compliance with standards, but understands it holistically and passionately drives product quality through process optimisation based on our Baumer Business System.
It is important to me that you elevate quality worldwide in all teams – from development, through production and sales to administration. In doing so, you move from the customer to the supplier. What I drive
- You are responsible for the global product quality of the Baumer Group and sustainably develop the quality culture – with a clear focus on business impact, customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
- You optimise product quality by increasing the necessary process quality based on our Baumer Business System throughout the entire lifecycle – from the development phase through series production to service and end-of-life.
- You are the contact person and coordinator for quality issues of highest importance on the customer or supplier side and further develop our Q-KPIs.
- You ensure all relevant normative and regulatory requirements regarding material and product compliance.
- You lead and develop the global quality organisation with local teams and uniform standards and methods.
- You act as the central coordinator for internal and external quality, certification and customer audits.
What it takes
- Successfully completed technical degree (Diploma/Master) as well as several years of leadership experience in the quality environment of an internationally producing company
- Deep expertise in product and process quality throughout the entire lifecycle (R&D, industrialisation, series, service)
- Strong hands-on mentality and high implementation strength in developing pragmatic solutions
- Communicative personality with pronounced interface competence and the ability to convey complex matters appropriately to the target group
- Sound knowledge of relevant quality methods as well as common standards and norms
- Fluent German and English skills as well as willingness to take on global responsibility as a confident negotiation partner
