Role:
In this role, you actively shape IT information security in a demanding, versatile environment. You take responsibility for secure information and communication processes, thus making a decisive contribution to the protection of sensitive data. You analyse existing ICT structures, identify security risks, and develop appropriate technical and organisational measures. In addition, you accompany security projects throughout their entire lifecycle and ensure that defined standards and guidelines are adhered to. Through your professional expertise, you support various stakeholders and promote a high level of security awareness throughout the environment.
Responsibilities:
- You plan, design, and implement tailored IT security solutions
- In this role, you monitor the threat landscape and analyse as well as assess security incidents
- You conduct risk analyses and vulnerability scans and review and approve firewall change requests
- As an IT information security specialist, you evaluate system solutions regarding IT security and data protection
- You further develop security management processes through standardisation, automation, and efficiency improvements
- In this role, you ensure IT security in projects and implement current security topics together with internal and external partners
Qualifications:
- Completed education in computer science (HF/FH/University) with further training in IT security
- Solid knowledge in network security, especially in firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, SIEM, and security architectures
- Experience in analysing complex security incidents as well as in evaluating technical system solutions
- In-depth knowledge of IT security and data protection, ideally related to GDPR, ISO 27001, and BSI basic protection
- Practical experience in vulnerability management, log management, mail security, and conducting phishing simulations
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style combined with strong communication skills and willingness to participate in on-call duties
