The Clinic for Rheumatology & Pain Medicine is the largest rheumatology clinic in Northwestern Switzerland. We are looking for an assistant physician immediately or by arrangement.
We are a training clinic for rheumatology (Category B two years), pain medicine (SSIPM, 1 year), and internal medicine (Category D, 6 months).
There is close interdisciplinary collaboration with the university orthopaedics department in-house, spinal surgery, as well as the internal clinics for rehabilitation, internal medicine, and neurology.
The Clinic for Rheumatology and Pain Medicine actively participates in the doctor-patient (DP) teaching of the Medical Faculty of the University of Basel.
Your tasks
- Admission and care of inpatients in the clinic
- Assistance and infiltration in ultrasound- and C-arm-guided interventions of the musculoskeletal system
- Treatment of outpatients in the Rheuma-Pain outpatient clinic (depending on training level and experience in the inpatient area)
- Day, night, weekend, and emergency duties
- Participation in the clinic's continuing education and training programme
You bring with you
- Completed studies
- At least 2 years of experience at a Swiss clinic (internal medicine and/or rheumatology)
- Verified and recognised diploma by MEBEKO
- German language skills at least level C1 (Goethe-Institut)
- Enthusiasm and motivation for the profession and joy in learning
- Team spirit, flexibility, and agility

- Learning diagnostics and management of a broad spectrum of inflammatory and degenerative rheuma-pain problems, including imaging anatomy (X-ray, MRI, CT, sonography) and image-guided interventions on joints, soft tissues, and spine
