As a Network Infrastructure Engineer, you actively shape the future of secure and high-performance IT landscapes. You take on the planning, implementation and maintenance of complex network and security architectures and ensure that critical systems are operated at all times in a stable, efficient and protected manner. In varied customer projects, you develop individual solutions, analyse technical challenges and apply your expertise to sustainably optimise modern infrastructure environments.
Responsibilities:
You develop and implement modern network architectures as well as powerful security concepts using technologies from Cisco, Juniper and Fortinet
You ensure reliable operation of the network infrastructure and take care of maintenance work, system upkeep and controlled adjustments
You investigate complex network and security issues, identify the causes and implement sustainable solutions for troubleshooting
You drive the continuous optimisation and expansion of existing network platforms, including core, backbone and access environments
You support diverse customer projects, implement technical requirements and assist in the further development of individual IT infrastructure solutions
Qualifications:
Successfully completed training in computer science or a comparable technical further education
Several years of experience as a network engineer or security engineer in demanding carrier, ISP or enterprise environments
Very good knowledge in the areas of routing, switching and modern network security
Strong initiative, structured working style and a strong solution orientation
Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form
