About the job
A loving start for children from 6 months to 4 years, sparking curiosity with playful, exploratory learning in German and English.
At Tandem IMS Nursery, infants and toddlers discover the world with their senses, through play and reliable routines.
Our educators create a dependable environment that promotes language, thinking, social interaction and motor skills. Warmth, individual attention and respectful interaction are central.
All locations follow the same Tandem IMS nursery philosophy and curriculum. Group sizes and team strengths depend on location and age mix.

In preschool, children deepen their knowledge of language, numbers and connections.
They learn letters with the British phonics programme, count, compare, paint, sing and explore together in projects.
Our toddler curriculum is tailored to the needs and milestones of each child. Teachers create warm, sensory-rich experiences with clear developmental goals in all learning areas.
Parent meetings are held to align goals and ensure continuity between home and school.
In preschool, children deepen exploratory learning: starting from a framework theme, they ask questions; teachers derive projects from these and "discover" answers together with the children.
Areas we promote daily: personal, social and emotional; communication & language; motor/physical; early mathematics & problem-solving; creativity/art; world knowledge & nature; early science & technology.
Zurich alternatively offers free learning centres from 10:00 as well as "register" and morning circle; all locations follow the same calm → active daily flow.

Short trial periods are gently extended. Fixed routines and a named key person quickly provide security.
Yes, but always in a playful and age-appropriate way.
For the youngest, basics such as careful listening, a growing vocabulary and first experiences with shapes, colours and patterns are central.
In preschool, children work with phonics (sound-letter correspondence), try their hand at early writing and learn numbers – they count, compare and discover connections. All happens through exploration, play and with great joy in discovery.
Daily. Weather-appropriate outdoor times are part of the routine at all locations (garden, walks, outdoor learning places).
We accompany each child in close coordination with the parents. With loving routines, the right timing and much patience, we support this important developmental step in a relaxed and child-appropriate way.
Yes, the locations provide nappies as well as balanced meals/snacks. Allergies and dietary wishes are clarified at registration.

Yes. Children naturally grow into two languages when raised in a language-rich environment. Supported by empathetic native speakers, reliable daily structures and through translanguaging, they develop their language skills step by step. They follow their own pace and learn with joy.
