Role:
On behalf of the client, we are seeking an experienced professional for project management and client representation of municipal building construction projects. You will accompany complex construction and urban development projects from preliminary design through planning to execution and take charge of management along the SIA phases 21-53. You will coordinate interdisciplinary planning teams, manage costs, schedules, risks and quality, and create the necessary decision-making bases for project committees and political authorities.
Responsibilities:
Project management and client representation of municipal building construction and urban development projects from preliminary design to execution
Management and coordination of interdisciplinary planning teams along the SIA phases 21-53
Responsibility for cost, schedule, risk and quality management as well as monitoring defined project objectives
Organisation and leadership of project and coordination meetings including minutes, action and decision lists
Preparation of specifications, project requirements, tenders and contracts for planners and specialists
Coordination of complex interfaces with third-party projects, authorities, specialist offices and other project participants
Support of planner selection, tendering and awarding procedures considering public procurement regulations
Preparation and facilitation of project decisions according to defined competencies and decision-making processes
Creation of project reports, decision bases and political documents for project committees, municipal council and community assembly
Management of project-related communication with internal and external stakeholders
Monitoring planning and execution quality and ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards and project requirements
Accompanying projects through to completion, acceptance and handover
Qualifications:
Advanced technical education as architect, construction manager, construction economist or comparable qualification, ideally supplemented by further training in project management
Several years of experience in managing complex building construction and urban development projects, preferably as a construction project manager or client representative
Knowledge of public procurement and ideally experience with municipal or cantonal administrative and decision-making processes
Good IT user skills and experience with project or construction administration software, knowledge of BauPlus is an advantage
Good German language skills, spoken and written
