What we offer you.
The SBB Infrastructure fleet is one of the three fleets of railway vehicles of the SBB, alongside those of passenger traffic and Cargo. The approximately 2500 vehicles are used for construction sites (e.g. locomotives, gravel wagons, railway cranes), for interventions (e.g. fire and rescue trains) and for special applications (e.g. snowploughs, maintenance of the Gotthard Base Tunnel). As a member of the management team of the Vehicle Procurement and Fleet Management business unit, you contribute to the development of the SBB Infrastructure fleet and the organisational unit, thus helping to ensure safe, reliable and sustainable mobility in Switzerland.
What you can get moving.
- As Fleet Deployment Manager, together with your team of 12 colleagues, you play a key role in ensuring the safety and efficient use of the SBB Infrastructure fleet.
- You ensure that the right vehicles are available and ready for use at the right time for construction sites, interventions and special applications.
- You plan and coordinate the fleet with the aim of achieving the best possible profitability, from long-term sizing to short-term optimisation of utilisation and availability, while complying with safety requirements.
- In your role as ECM 3, you ensure maintenance within deadlines and correct documentation.
- You promote a motivating and trust-based atmosphere within the team and put into practice the SBB values and the management principles of the Infrastructure division.
- You continuously develop processes within your team, especially in the role of Business Owner in IT projects.
What you bring with you.
- You think analytically and make data-driven decisions.
- You bring several years of managerial experience with line responsibility and demonstrate proficiency in stakeholder management.
- Experience and skills in physical asset management characterise your profile.
- You have an affinity for railway vehicles and regularly work on the Gemba.
- You have a tertiary-level qualification in a technical or business-economic field.
- You have excellent command of German at C1 level and another national language, French or Italian, at B1 level.
