HSE Prevention Engineer

Mandated by one of our clients, an industrial organisation recognised for its commitment to its employees, I am currently seeking an HSE Prevention Engineer / Officer (M/F).

Within the QSE team, you act as a true operational relay to ensure a safe working environment that complies with standards. This hybrid role combines a strong presence on the ground with the teams and a significant analytical dimension to steer the company’s preventive strategy.

Your main duties

• Field animation and prevention: Conduct regular supervision rounds on sites, map potential hazards and structure associated corrective and preventive action plans.

• Support and education: Act as a partner to managers and operational teams by disseminating best practices. Design and lead workshops or training modules to develop safety culture.

• Compliance and standards: Ensure strict application of legal obligations. Oversee the evolution and proper functioning of the environmental management system (ISO 14001 standard) and occupational safety directives (MSST).

• Document management and audits: Update written processes and take an active part in preparing and ensuring the smooth running of internal and external inspections.

• Analysis and strategic management: Exploit field data to build decision-support tools. You will be responsible for modelling performance metrics, designing dynamic dashboards and consolidating reports for management to guide continuous improvement policy.

Profile sought

• Education: You hold a Master’s degree or Engineering diploma (Bac+5) specialising in risk management, industrial safety or environment.

• Experience: This position is open to junior profiles. A successful initial immersion in an industrial environment (via a final-year internship, work-study programme or first contract) is highly valued.

• Technical skills:

  • Solid understanding of the workings of ISO 14001 and the MSST framework.

  • A strong aptitude for data processing: you are highly proficient with spreadsheets (Excel), especially for database management, use of advanced functions (pivot tables) and creation of automated reports.

• Interpersonal skills: You combine a synthetic mind with great adaptability. Your diplomacy and persuasive skills enable you to engage diverse stakeholders towards common goals.

• Languages: Flawless communication in French (spoken and written) is required. A professional level of English is essential to navigate easily within the company’s international branches.
