About the job
Technical key position with long-term prospects
Kempter Meile AG in Wil is an independent engineering office focused on energy and supply infrastructures. For over 40 years, the company has supported energy suppliers and infrastructure operators in the planning, modernisation, and integration of sophisticated electrical systems and installations in the fields of electricity, water, heat, and gas.
As part of a long-term planned development of the company, we are looking for an experienced and technically skilled individual who independently manages demanding projects, advises customers competently, and increasingly assumes a key role within the company.
This position is expressly aimed at professionals who have solid practical experience in energy and supply infrastructure and who can not only coordinate technical solutions but also understand, assess, and co-develop them themselves.

Your profile
For this role, we are deliberately not seeking a generalist project manager but a person with proven technical practical experience.
You have:
The decisive factor is your proven professional practice in the fields listed below – whether this was acquired through a university of applied sciences/ETH degree or an equivalent qualification (e.g. certified technician HF) with corresponding professional experience is secondary.
- Training as an electrical engineer FH/ETH or a comparable technical education, e.g. certified technician HF in electrical engineering/energy technology with several years of relevant practical experience
- Several years of practical experience in energy supply, network technology, station automation, or comparable electrical infrastructures
- Solid experience in project planning, engineering, and technical project management
- Practical knowledge in areas such as schematic creation, hardware planning, commissioning, and protection technology
- Experience with control systems, station control technology, and/or communication systems
- Profound understanding of the operation of medium and/or low voltage networks and/or water supply systems or comparable supply infrastructures
- The ability to technically analyse existing systems and independently develop viable solutions from them
Important: The combination of project responsibility and own technical competence is crucial for this position. We are looking for an experienced professional who has already proven themselves practically in the mentioned electrical engineering fields – regardless of the formal educational path.
What is offered to you

- Demanding projects in critical energy and supply infrastructure
- High technical and personal responsibility
- Direct influence on technical solutions and projects

- Workplace in Wil (SG) with scope for home office proportion for experienced professionals from the wider region
You have solid technical experience in energy or supply infrastructure and are not simply looking for the next project manager position but a role with long-term responsibility and development prospects?
Then we look forward to meeting you.
