About the job
The Staff Association (SA) of the ICRC aims to defend the interests of:
- ICRC staff members (in Geneva or expatriates) on all matters relating to personnel policy and collective labour agreements (CLA);
- its members, notably by providing assistance in conflicts related to employment/work conditions.
Components of the SA:
- General Assembly: approximately 2,300 members
- Executive Committee of the Staff Association (COMAP): 12 elected members
- Permanent Office: 2 permanent salaried employees employed by the SA

The Executive Committee of the Association is looking for a
Project Officer at 100%
You will be responsible for assisting the permanent secretary and supporting the COMAP on a daily basis.

Main responsibilities
- Collect/synthesise information on various files and subjects followed by the COMAP and the permanent secretary
- Contribute to collective reflection on the various files
- Request the opinion of SA members by developing qualitative and quantitative surveys, processing and analysing the results
- Maintain the visibility of the COMAP’s role, its objectives, the files it is working on and its achievements
- Write and/or format various documents (newsletters, annual report, press releases, articles, alerts, minutes of weekly meetings, etc.)
- Feed and manage the SA website and its page on the ICRC intranet
- Increase the number of SA members, manage its database
- Manage the SA’s accounting
Required profile
- Higher education (Universities of Applied Sciences, Universities, or equivalent qualification)
- At least 5 years of professional experience, ideally in a communication role
- French and English: excellent oral and written communication in one of the two languages and very good command of the other
- Ability to simplify information and write impactful messages
- Creativity to format and enhance information
- Proficiency in office and digital communication tools
- Valid work permit to work in Geneva
