- Specifying, evaluating and configuring infrastructure and network components for ICT platforms and command information systems
- Integration of systems on complex ICT platforms with a focus on stable, secure and high-performance network architectures
- Planning, operation and optimisation of network environments in the areas of routing and switching, network security and software-defined networking
- Analysis of faults, identification of optimisation potential and development of sustainable solutions to ensure stable systems
- Co-design of data centre automation as well as further development of network automation and programmability
- Definition of relevant key figures to check service levels and ensure compliance with technical standards
- Maintenance and further development of system technical documentation
What you bring with you
- Degree in computer science or apprenticeship as an ICT specialist EFZ or technically skilled career changer with appropriate further training and professional experience
- Sound experience in the field of network technology with a focus on routing and switching, network security and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of network automation, programmability and ideally software-defined networking and cloud environments
- Experience with firewall, network and server systems as well as virtualisation technologies is an advantage
- Experience in scripting and with automation tools such as CI/CD, Ansible or Terraform
- Analytical, independent and proactive working style with a strong solution orientation
- Business fluent German; English and/or French skills are an advantage
- Military career as a senior non-commissioned officer or officer is an advantage
