We are looking for you as a Specialist in Insurance Management (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG at the Freiburg im Breisgau or Karlsruhe location as soon as possible.

Your tasks:

• In your role, you advise and support the rail project in all questions of insurance, claims and construction law as well as liability issues
• You assess legal opportunities and risks in claims cases, develop legally secure courses of action and solution options, and identify contract deviations / regulatory gaps
• Management and processing of complex claims cases including examination, enforcement and defence of claims
• You ensure a uniform, legally compliant and economically sensible approach in dealing with claims cases and insurance benefits
• Preparation, support and professional assistance in tendering, negotiation and conclusion of insurance contracts are also part of your duties
• You conduct negotiations and coordination with insurers, insurance brokers, contractors, authorities, lawyers and other stakeholders
• You prepare legal opinions, contracts and claim letters and advise the project team on legal issues
• Monitoring current legal developments as well as conveying specialist knowledge through training and information formats

Your profile:

• Successfully completed specialised / university degree as a fully qualified lawyer or business lawyer
• You have experience in insurance management, especially in processing and presenting claims cases in cooperation with commercial and technical project management
• Ideally, you have expertise in the field of public and insurance law
• A good understanding of economic as well as technical contexts is a great advantage here, along with willingness to work with internal media / systems
• You think and act conceptually, problem-solving oriented and interdisciplinary
• You also distinguish yourself through initiative, teamwork and sociability
• With your assertiveness, negotiation skills, high commitment and time flexibility, you successfully drive topics forward
