In collaboration with your team, you organise the procurement of engineering services and works so that construction projects progress efficiently and travellers can move without obstacles. A varied project portfolio awaits you: new builds and conversions, as well as renovations of stations, tunnels, bridges and entire railway sections. You work closely with project managers, technical departments, the legal department and other interfaces, and assume responsibilities with tangible impact.

What you can influence.

• As head of construction project procurement for the Infrastructure Division in the region, you will assume responsibility both in terms of personnel and operations.
• You advise your approximately seven project purchasing colleagues on procurement and contractual matters governed by public procurement law and define individual development measures.
• You lead regional purchasing operations according to commercial principles and sign awards up to CHF 10 million.
• As a member of the Construction Infrastructure Purchasing management team, you participate in regional and national bodies and actively maintain contacts with internal and external stakeholders.
• Within expert groups, you propose approaches for the continuous improvement of processes and methods.
• You are willing to travel within the region and regularly undertake assignments in Olten, Lucerne and Bellinzona.

What you bring.

• In this leadership role, strong managerial skills such as results-oriented leadership and development-focused leadership are of great importance.
• You quickly familiarise yourself with new and complex issues and act in a results-oriented and quality-conscious manner. You have already gained experience in managing escalations and critical project situations at management and leadership levels.
• Your strengths include entrepreneurial thinking and cost awareness, as well as excellent communication and facilitation skills.
• Experience in project procurement and/or the construction sector is desirable.
• You hold a degree from a university of applied sciences (in engineering, business administration or equivalent) or a higher federal diploma (certified purchasing manager or equivalent training).
• Fluency in spoken and written German (C2) is required. You speak French or Italian with very good knowledge (B2) of the other national language.
