Responsibilities:
- You lead the development of the hardware architecture of our wearable and ensure that the device's functionality and performance meet the specified requirements
- You oversee the design process from conception to production, conduct design reviews and make key design decisions to achieve project milestones
- You work closely with internal teams, including firmware and software engineers, as well as external contractors to drive the project forward and successfully bring the product to market
- You promote effective communication between cross-functional teams, align project goals and manage project schedules to deliver a high-quality product on time
- You take responsibility for the design and review of printed circuit boards (PCBs) to ensure signal integrity, manufacturability in large volumes and compliance with EMI/CE certification standards
- You coordinate with the supply chain management team for component procurement, maintain supplier relationships and ensure timely delivery of materials as well as manage design changes during development and mass production
- You mentor and coach junior colleagues in the team, providing them with professional support and technical expertise
- You create a collaborative and supportive work environment that fosters knowledge sharing, teamwork and innovation within the team
Qualifications:
- You have a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, electronics or a related field (an advanced degree is preferred)
- You bring several years of professional experience, ideally in consumer electronics
- You have experience successfully bringing consumer electronics products to market
- You possess solid knowledge in PCB design, including mechanical integration and high-density designs, digital signal processing and low-power design
- You have fluent German and English skills
