Role:

On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced Construction and Project Manager GU/TU for the holistic management of demanding building projects in the Basel region. You will accompany clients from the initial project idea through calculation, planning, tendering, and realisation to turnkey handover, taking overall economic and technical responsibility. The project portfolio includes renovations, conversions, refurbishments, and new builds within a professional full-service environment. In addition to cost, schedule, and quality management, you will be responsible for coordinating planning and execution, contract and change management, as well as maintaining and developing customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Independent management of demanding GU-/TU projects in new build, conversion, renovation, and refurbishment from project development to handover

• Consultation and support of clients from the first contact and development of technically and economically convincing project and execution variants

• Preparation and validation of cost estimates, cost quotations, GU-/TU offers, and fee proposals

• Overall responsibility for costs, schedules, quality, and profitability as well as ongoing project and site controlling

• Management and coordination of architects, specialist planners, internal specialist companies, contractors, and suppliers

• Organisation and leadership of construction sites as well as coordination of individual trades and technical interfaces during execution

• Preparation and management of tenders and awards including offer comparisons, contractor negotiations, and award proposals

• Responsibility for contracts, change management, measurement, invoice verification, and project accounting

• Conducting construction, planning, and coordination meetings as well as preparing reports, cost forecasts, and decision-making documents

• Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards as well as safety, quality, and environmental regulations

• Execution and coordination of acceptances, defect management, commissioning, and turnkey handovers

• Support in acquisition and offer processing as well as maintenance and development of existing customer and client relationships

Qualifications:

• Completed construction-related education with further training as Construction Manager HFP, certified Technician HF, Construction Foreman, Civil Engineer FH, or Architect FH

• Several years of experience in project and construction management in the GU-/TU environment, especially in new build, conversion, or renovation projects

• Sound knowledge in calculation, cost estimation, cost quotation, and GU-/TU offer processing

• Very good knowledge of tendering, awarding, contracts, change management, and project accounting

• Solid knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Swiss construction processes

• Good user knowledge of Messerli, MS Megabau or comparable construction administration software

• Driving licence category B as well as very good German language skills
