Role:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced professional for the construction management of demanding engineering and concrete construction projects in the Bern region. You will take on the technical, administrative and financial responsibility for your construction sites and manage them from work preparation to successful project completion. The focus is on work preparation, site organisation, personnel and resource planning, cost control, measurement and post-calculation. The position offers comprehensive responsibility within a professional environment in Swiss engineering, infrastructure and concrete construction.

Responsibilities:

• Independent construction management and handling of demanding engineering and concrete construction projects from work preparation to project completion

• Technical, administrative and financial management of construction sites while adhering to agreed cost, schedule and quality requirements

• Responsibility for work preparation as well as site, schedule and resource planning including personnel, machinery, materials and inventory

• Economic control and ongoing cost monitoring of construction projects as well as early detection and handling of deviations

• Professional leadership of site personnel as well as support and coordination of foremen in operational site management

• Coordination and management of clients, specialist planners, suppliers and subcontractors

• Responsibility for reporting, measurement, performance recording and billing of executed construction services

• Review and processing of claims, extra work and contractor services as well as ensuring complete construction documentation

• Conducting post-calculations and target-actual comparisons to assess the profitability of completed projects

• Ensuring professional execution in accordance with SIA standards, building regulations, quality requirements and occupational safety guidelines

• Use of digital construction administration and calculation systems for commercial and technical project management

Qualifications:

• Completed further education as certified construction manager, certified technician HF, civil engineer FH, master builder or comparable qualification in construction

• Several years of professional experience in construction management in engineering, infrastructure or concrete construction with corresponding site responsibility

• Sound knowledge in work preparation, calculation, measurement, reporting, post-calculation and construction administration

• Good user knowledge of MS Office as well as experience with construction administration software, ideally AbaBau

• Good German language skills in spoken and written form, French skills are an advantage
