As the current post holder is due to retire soon, the Foyer Saint-Jacques in St-Maurice is looking for its future

Your main responsibilities

• Lead, organise and coordinate care activities.
• Ensure quality, individualised and safe care for residents.
• Supervise, support and unite the nursing teams through close management.
• Work closely with the human resources department in managing the staff of your sector.
• Ensure compliance with best practices, internal procedures, as well as legal and institutional requirements.
• Collaborate with doctors, families, network partners and various sectors of the Foundation.
• Actively participate in institutional projects and support the development of Foyer Saint-Jacques as part of its expansion.

What you bring

• HES diploma in nursing (Swiss recognition required for foreign diplomas) and authorisation to practise (GesReg);
• Postgraduate training in management or equivalent, as well as additional training in gerontology and/or psychogeriatrics (or commitment to undertake these trainings within the year following entry into the role);
• Significant experience in geriatrics and/or psychogeriatrics;
• Participative leadership;
• Ability to unite teams;
• Excellent communication and listening skills;
• Ability to respond effectively in acute and complex situations;
• Availability and flexibility;
• Good knowledge of the Valais health system is a plus.
