Job Description
On behalf of our client, an international group in the luxury sector, we are looking for a student for a Finance & Procurement Operations Assistant position at 50-60%, in Geneva.
You will support the Finance team in managing purchase orders, invoices, and suppliers. The assignment is planned for six months, with a desired start in December.
Main Responsibilities
- Create, manage and monitor purchase orders (Purchase Orders – PO) in accordance with internal procedures.
- Check order information and maintain accurate tracking of ongoing operations.
- Ensure the follow-up of goods and services receipts (Goods Receipts – GR) to enable invoice processing.
- Manage the invoice inbox and verify consistency between orders, receipts, and invoices.
- Identify discrepancies or blockages and contribute to their resolution with the relevant teams.
- Participate in the administrative management of suppliers and ensure data quality as well as compliance with internal procedures.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, Finance, Purchasing teams and business contacts.
- Communicate clearly and proactively about ongoing requests and ensure their follow-up until resolution.
We are looking for a profile meeting the following criteria:
- Student in bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, management, purchasing or a related field.
- Previous experience in finance, accounting, purchasing or administrative management is an asset.
- Experience in managing purchase orders and invoice follow-up is appreciated.
- Very good command of Microsoft Excel and Word, with ease in handling and checking data.
- Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
- Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
- High level of rigour, organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliability and discipline in applying procedures.
- Good communication skills and team spirit.
- Autonomy, proactivity and a solution-oriented approach.
- Availability at 50-60%, ideally from December, for a six-month assignment.
