The University Clinic for Neurology is the largest neurological clinic in Switzerland and offers high-quality treatment both in basic neurological care and in highly specialised medicine. Annually, over 30,000 outpatients and approximately 2,000 inpatients are treated. In the outpatient sector, we offer various neurological specialisations, such as general neurology, neuroimmunology, headache, dementia, Parkinson’s and movement disorders, epilepsy, and sleep medicine. You can participate in these areas as part of patient care. This offer is particularly advantageous for expanding your outpatient neurological expertise as a specialist if your previous neurological work has mainly been in inpatient and emergency care. With us, you will become proficient in outpatient patient care.

What you bring
- FMH specialist title in neurology or equivalent recognition.
- Certificates of competence in EEG, duplex sonography and/or ENMG are desirable.
- Specialisation and several years of clinical experience in caring for patients with neurological diseases. Experience in outpatient settings is desired but not essential.
- Interest and skills in managing your own consultation areas and shaping them clinically and organisationally.
- Interest in further developing an outpatient neurological specialisation area.
- Enjoyment in supervising, training, and supporting junior doctors.
- High social competence, patient-oriented working style, and excellent communication skills.
- Independent, structured, and responsible working style combined with strong teamwork skills.
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form; good oral French skills are desirable.
