Network & Security Engineer (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF95,000 - 115,000Role:
In this role, you take responsibility for a stable, secure, and high-performance IT operation in a complex network environment. You ensure that central systems and networks function smoothly and thereby make an important daily contribution to the reliable technical support of medical services. You analyse disruptions, optimise existing infrastructures, and use your expertise to ensure that high-quality standards are met. Additionally, you accompany further developments of the IT landscape, contribute your own ideas, and help to make processes more efficient and future-proof. Through your structured and service-oriented working style, you create a trustworthy environment for internal stakeholders and competently support them in all matters related to network administration and IT operations.
Responsibilities:
- You operate, monitor, and maintain the entire network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, WLAN, and VPN.
- In this role, you implement and develop modern network and security solutions.
- As a network administration and IT operations specialist, you plan, execute, and document network projects such as migrations, expansions, and security audits.
- You analyse network disruptions and performance issues and resolve them in 2nd and 3rd level support.
- In this role, you ensure network security through firewalls, monitoring, and patch management.
- You participate in backup and disaster recovery strategies in the network environment and integrate new network technologies.
Qualifications:
- Completed training in computer science (EFZ) or equivalent qualification as well as several years of professional experience as an ICT system engineer
- Very good knowledge of common network protocols (TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP)
- Confident handling of network components such as Cisco or Fortinet
- Ideally, you have certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+ or comparable qualifications
- Strong analytical and interconnected thinking skills combined with high commitment and initiative
- Enjoyment of agile teamwork and active participation in shaping solutions
