About the job
Whether cycling, climbing, mowing the lawn or on a playground, we all rely on the safety of the products we use daily. If you join us, your mission will be to ensure it stays that way. As an inspector, you ensure this remains the case: In collaboration with your team, you check with manufacturers, importers and traditional or online distributors that the products offered for sale in Switzerland comply with the Federal Product Safety Act (PrSG).

Product Safety Engineer (m/f/x), 60%
Your tasks
- You inspect products available in Switzerland to identify any conformity and safety deficiencies, contact the relevant economic operators and, if necessary, order corrective measures within the framework of an administrative procedure.
- You design and implement sampling inspection programmes, sometimes in collaboration with other market surveillance authorities.
- You assist companies affected by a product recall and ensure that consumers are informed of it.
- You work closely with the internal legal department.
Your profile
- BSc in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or wood technology or equivalent training, plus several years of professional experience, preferably in product development, product testing or a purchasing department.
- Desired knowledge of product compliance.
- Team spirit and good communication skills.
- Enjoyment of advisory and negotiation activities.
- Comfortable with administrative tasks.
- Native French or German speaker with good knowledge of the other language and a good command of English.
