Job Startimmediate or by arrangementPublished30 April 2026The Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology METAS is the reference institute for measurements and measuring instruments in Switzerland. To ensure that a litre is always a litre (e.g. when refuelling), METAS carries out calibrations, conformity assessments and consultancy for business, research and administration. Measurement accuracy builds trust, especially at societal and political levels, and is indispensable in many areas: road traffic, electricity billing, time transmission, environmental and health measurements, etc. At METAS, various disciplines converge and complement each other – and have done so since 1862.

- As the central contact person for customers and partners, you accompany the introduction of new services and position the laboratory as a reliable, competent and innovative partner.
- You represent the laboratory professionally externally and maintain and expand relationships with key industrial customers as well as leading research groups. You actively engage in national and international expert committees in the respective metrological fields.
Requirements

We offer
- A responsible leadership role with scope for design, in which you actively shape the future of a technical-scientific laboratory. You work at the interface between industry and research, with a team at the highest professional level and in a collegial environment with attractive working conditions.
