Automation Technician 100% (m/f/d)

What is my role?

Our client needs you for exciting tasks related to locomotives throughout Switzerland:

• You carry out electrical and electronic repairs as well as maintenance work on locomotives at construction sites and maintenance locations

• You analyse and isolate faults and malfunctions using diagrams, technical documents and diagnostic systems and rectify them

• You create work reports and write electrotechnical documentation

• You produce diagrams for technical changes to machines, update them and maintain the associated documentation

• You perform revision, assembly and testing of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and complex modules according to sketches, technical drawings, diagrams and parts lists

• You participate in the internal commissioning and acceptance of machines

• You provide telephone support as well as on-call service throughout Switzerland

• You support adjacent specialist areas such as hydraulics and pneumatics

What do I need to be successful?

• Completed vocational training EFZ as an automation technician/automatic assembler, electrical assembler (industry), mechatronics technician or electromechanic

• Solid practical experience in electromechanical repair, revision and service work

• Knowledge in creating and adapting electrical diagrams, ideally with EPLAN and ELCAD, is an advantage

• Willingness to work irregular hours and deployments as needed

• Driving licence category B

• Good IT user skills, especially in MS Office and other relevant programmes
