Role:
On behalf of the client, we are seeking an experienced individual for the management of complex infrastructure projects in tunnel and special foundation engineering. You will assume technical and economic responsibility for demanding projects and accompany them through all SIA phases from design to realisation. The focus is on large underground and transport infrastructure projects worked on in multidisciplinary project teams and engineering consortia. The role combines project management, technical leadership, and project controlling with modern planning methods such as BIM as well as involvement in acquiring new mandates.
Responsibilities:
Independent management of demanding tunnel construction, underground construction, and special foundation engineering projects
Technical and economic control of projects across the relevant SIA phases
Responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality, resources, and project risks
Development and assessment of technical concepts, design bases, and constructive solutions
Professional leadership and coordination of civil engineers, specialist planners, and external experts
Management of collaboration within engineering consortia and multidisciplinary project organisations
Review and quality assurance of calculations, technical reports, plans, and tender documents
Coordination of interfaces with geotechnics, structural planning, special foundation engineering, traffic and operational facilities
Support of tendering, awarding, and realisation processes for complex infrastructure projects
Use and further development of digital planning methods such as BIM and model-based project execution
Preparation of project reports, cost and schedule forecasts, and decision-making bases
Participation in acquisitions, offers, and fee proposals for new infrastructure and tunnel construction projects
Qualifications:
University degree as Civil Engineer ETH/FH/University or comparable technical education
At least 10 years of professional experience in structural engineering, infrastructure, or underground construction
Several years of experience in project management of complex infrastructure projects, ideally in tunnel or special foundation engineering
Sound knowledge of Swiss SIA standards and design processes as well as experience with Swiss infrastructure projects is an advantage
Experience in the professional leadership of interdisciplinary project teams and engineering consortia
Knowledge of modern planning and project execution methods, especially BIM, is an advantage
Good to very good German language skills spoken and written
