Job Description

Are you looking for a role where you don’t just manage but truly make a difference? This position offers you the chance to actively shape a central function during an exciting transformation phase. As Head of Category Management, you take responsibility for a team of new employees and deliberately develop their professional, methodological, and personal growth. You lead both strategically and operationally, guide the change process in a structured, clear, and sensitive manner, and help to sharpen the mission of Category Management and elevate it to the next level. Your key role offers you the opportunity to achieve real impact and visibility with your experience, leadership, and entrepreneurial thinking and actions. Together with your team, you will consistently develop our range, category strategies, and collaboration with internal and external partners.

Your tasks:

• Leadership, development, and coaching of the Category Management team with new employees
• Active support and management of the change process within the team and function
• Strategic and operational responsibility for category and assortment strategies
• Ensuring price and product life cycle management in collaboration with data management, pricing, and sales
• Management of category marketing in close coordination with MarCom and suppliers
• Building and expanding sustainable partnerships with key suppliers as well as close cooperation with strategic purchasing
• Promoting an open, performance-oriented, and trusting team culture
• Acting as a sparring partner for management and stakeholders on strategic and operational issues

Qualifications

• Technical basic training with further education in sales, marketing, or business administration at EFZ, BSc, or MSc level
• Several years of leadership experience in product or category management, ideally in (electrical) wholesale or a related industry
• Experience in change and transformation processes as well as in the development of teams and employees
• Understanding of procurement and sales markets as well as analytical skills
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration, project responsibility, and active participation
• Leadership competence, coaching skills, and clear, binding communication
• Confident German language skills as well as fluent English, both spoken and written.
