This is what you can look forward to.
With a team of 23 employees, you ensure reliable train operations in the heart of the Swiss rail network and make a direct contribution to Switzerland's mobility. We are looking for you to lead our Signalling Systems team in Rapperswil. You ensure the availability and safety of the rail infrastructure and make sure that customers arrive punctually at their destination. Your work matters for Switzerland, for people, for the economy, and for the environment. Our benefits such as generous child allowances, a free GA travelcard, and discounted travel abroad also for your family can be found here.
This is what you can achieve.
- You lead your motivated team professionally and with enthusiasm and promote the development of your employees.
- You plan maintenance orders and organise the on-call service for the rapid resolution of faults in the railway infrastructure.
- In the event of major disruptions, you support your frontline team and assist if necessary on weekends or after hours, which is very rare.
- You are responsible for the costs, quality, and deadlines of the orders and ensure compliance with legal and internal regulations.
- Together with 12 other team leaders, you are part of a management team and look forward to advancing the development of the Signalling Systems department in the Eastern region.
This is what you bring with you.
- Team spirit, flexibility, organisational skills, safety orientation, and business acumen characterise you.
- You already have leadership experience from a previous role or from a club, continuously reflect on your leadership style, and develop yourself further. If interested, we support you with external leadership training.
- In this role, you shine with a basic mechanical apprenticeship (EFZ), ideally complemented by additional training in signalling systems as well as in business administration or personnel management.
- Good PC user skills are a prerequisite, and it is especially easy for you to start if you already have SAP knowledge.
- You have very good German language skills in spoken and written form at level B2 and also hold a valid category B driving licence.
