Addiction Practitioner at 60%

The Addiction Valais¦Sucht Wallis Foundation is the cantonal reference for addictions. It offers specialised support to anyone facing addictive behaviour (with or without substances), as well as to their relatives. It consists of five counselling and support centres, a day centre, three residential centres, socio-educational support services at home, and central services. The Foundation is inspired by the recovery model, through an individualised approach built with each person.

To strengthen our team at the Monthey Counselling and Support Centre, we are looking for a

Your mission and tasks:

Outpatient support (individual, couple, family) for people in situations of addictive behaviours and their relatives, using a bio-psycho-social approach based on the resources and needs of the individuals

Active presence within the regional network to support addiction-related issues

Collaboration with the medico-social network as well as judicial services

Referral to residential treatment structures or day centres with continued support

Maintenance and management of client files

Job requirements:

Higher education such as a University of Applied Sciences degree or Master’s in social work, psychology, or psychiatric nursing

Postgraduate training in addiction or willingness to undertake it

Proven professional experience with people in difficulty

Confirmed experience in conducting motivational interviews

Ability to support people in complex social and psychological situations

Capacity for introspection and self-reflection

Professional autonomy combined with ease in working within a network

Excellent collaborative spirit, curiosity, humility, and sense of priorities

Ability to manage priorities, adaptability, and flexibility

Driving licence and vehicle available
